Silas strolled with purpose through the basement of the Tower, casting a concerned look at the state of the Tower's youngest Ajah, relegated to the dim underground, another reminder of just how out-of-place the few Reds in the Tower truly were.
Granted, there wasn't really anywhere else to put them without knocking down every other Ajah's quarters, but it still feels like an insult to put them down here. Silas had done himself no favors amongst the Hall through his open support of the Red Ajah, but he had his reasons. First and foremost, obviously, was the matter of Carraidhin's Foretelling just after being Raised- a pretty cut-and-dry statement that he wished more of those that had been present would take into consideration. "Raise a Red Ajah, or disaster will strike." Regardless of what, exactly, that disaster entailed, it was foolish to simply ignore a Foretelling. Yet many seemed rather more concerned with lumping her and her subordinates (such as they were) in with those sisters of the White Tower who had troubled them so much in the past, rather than acknowledging that Carraidhin had no connection to those that worried them, and that her new Ajah was its own being.
While the prophecy was the primary reason Silas had thrown his support to the fledgling organization, over time, he began to admire what Carraidhin had done. Neatly, profoundly, she had cut through the political bullshit that ran rampant through the Tower. She had created something that, despite the efforts to the contrary, refused to wither under the disapproval of her enemies, even possessing enough drive to climb all the way to the Amyrlin Seat itself. Despite everything that had been thrown at her, Carraidhin had forced everyone who dwelled in the Tower to acknowledge what she had accomplished- whether that bode well or ill, he didn't know, but he couldn't help but be impressed.
Which brought him to what he was doing down here now. Despite what the Amyrlin had done, there was still a fair distance to go before her creation truly took root. And her ascension to her position had, in fact, complicated things even further, in some aspects- as she had to be of all Ajahs and none, Carraidhin could not lend the same kind of support to the Reds as she once had, leaving the organization in a difficult situation. A situation that some might be willing to take advantage of.
Well, Silas wasn't having any of that- the Red Ajah deserved to succeed or fail on its own merits, not because of the machinations of someone who sought to exploit them or their situation. He finally came to the door of Carraidhin's former office, where she'd asked to meet in response to his request. Why here and not her current office, he didn't know, but he wasn't going to judge- the woman likely had her reasons.
Squaring his shoulders, he raised a hand and knocked firmly three times on the door of the office.

The Great Room of the Red Ajah had slowly been filled a little more. The far end that was opposite the doors was a Grande fireplace that went from floor to a very high ceiling. The solid plates of marbled stone were breathtaking and despite it's age now showed none after days of hard polishing and a gentle coat of sealing wax. It reflected light with the same warmth of the fire that filled the room with both heat and warmth. Both the same yet separately distinct.
There were more seating area's. While Carraidhin only had a need for one while on her own, over her tenure as Amyrlin she ensured that more were made and that slowly the Great Room became more furnished with both classically old pieces that were fixed and ones that were new. It was clear still that some were just hand-me-downs from discarded rooms in the other Ajah Halls, but others shone with the art of her craftsman.
To the left was a simple galley kitchen for any to use and to store basic necessities, and a long table and benches to house well over twenty of their rank. It was never expected that her Ajah would dine alone but it made for a nice communal place for them to gather to eat the occasional meal together. To the right were round tables and benches. Desks in area's to pen letters or other orders.
There was no formal Head of Ajah room, but there was a chair. It sat with a love seat and a longer couch directly by the fireplace. It was an old chair that looked both well worn but well loved. The blood red fabric the perfect complimentary to its dark rich wood and scrollwork. On it rested a Red Shawl. A shawl that was made of white fabric and dark red fringe. The fringe a different shade than she knew the fringe of the White Tower's Red Ajah was. What made the shawl unique was the embroidery around the flame. Not one solid color of red, but of all eight Ajah's were embroidered in the Shawl. It was Carra's personal Shawl, one that she hoped reflected that she wanted to be as much a part of the other Ajah's as she was of her own.
The Amyrlin Stole now around her neck had it's own kind of irony if she thought on it.
The three knocks on the door, and Carra stood and walked over to open the door to welcome her guest personally. It wasn't a long walk but it wasn't a short walk either as the room was large. Tea and simple pastries sat on the table that centered the Red Chair and the couches around it. She smiled at her guest. "Welcome to the Red Ajah, Asha'man Silas. Come in and share some tea with me." She escorted him to the couches and took a seat in her chair, allowing him to take in the Red Ajah's Great Room.
