Family Matters [Attn: Riahana Gaidar]
Gareth Tomosan Asha'man
And so, the unlikely Asha'man was returned to the Tower and the Halls of the Yellow Ajah, although it was certainly a change from the last time he had been there.
Now he was ensconced in a larger apartment, assigned as "family quarters," which consisted of three rooms: their front room, with a fireplace, places to sit, and a dining table that was ostensibly big enough for six but still small enough to make the large man worry he was going to break the chair every time he sat down. The other two rooms were, of course, bedrooms. The twins had to share, which had come with some dissension in the ranks since their house in Duron had separate bedrooms for them.
It would have to do for now, and they had accepted that soon enough. They knew there was a chance they may find their calling her as it was, perhaps even be able to channel. The possibility had always been there, but moving to a place where they could find out the truth had its schedule pushed up by the return of Riahana's 'memme.'
And as such, the woman herself was coming to dinner. Their rooms lacking a kitchen, Gareth had instructed a meal for five to be brought to their rooms from the Tower kitchens. Funny how easily he fell back into the pattern of this place, but he was glad for it. He had enjoyed traveling, and knew they would again. Saldea and Duron had been good places to spend their time, but the Tower seemed to offer the stability of a home but more...variety than the little village they had landed in.
He rejoiced to be back among other Yellows and healers, the herb stores and eager young trainees wishing to learn the art of healing. He looked forward to interacting with them again.
For tonight, though, the only mission was: dinner with family.

Honey, We're Home...
Tia couldn't help but pace their family quarters, and she suspected she was driving her brother and father crazy. It couldn't be helped. She was soon to meet her Great, Great Grandmother. . .the woman who inspired her own mother to become a Gaidar. Stories shared by her mother came flooding back, and they all seemed exotic and filled with adventure. . .something Tia hoped her own future might hold.
A knock at the door suggested the meal had arrived, and Tia was the first one there to answer it. Two young women rolled a cart in, and laid out the succulent dinner on the table. Already, Tower life was so very different from Duron. Meals cooked for them? She suspected Einion would miss the chance to make his famous stew.
Just as the two girls departed with their cart, Riahana stood in the doorway. She smiled to Tia, "I am surprised to find you here. I figured you would be off exploring."
"Wanted to, but we. . .well we had to finish unpacking and getting things ready for dinner," Tia replied as she looked over her mother's shoulder.
Ria smiled and inclined her head, "A task for which I am very thankful. Now...go get your brother. I want to introduce you all at the same time." Only after Tia went back to her shared bedroom did Riahana step fully into the room. She looked to her husband and gave him a warm smile, "And for the record, I do believe I owe you one. I can only imagine how much nervous energy our daughter had today.

Re: Family Matters [Attn: Riahana Gaidar]
Gareth Tomosan
Returning the expression, Gareth held his hand out for her.
It was an interesting change. Before, it had been him. It had been her. Then there was some him and her. But their bonding took place just before leaving, and their marriage just after. It was their first time here in the Tower as a family, but already he was rather liking it. He hadn't grown up with much of one, just him and his adoptive father. Now he was a father. If only he could have shown his new family to Einion, but the man's spirit lived on in Gareth's son, he knew. Even if it wasn't a genetic link, the it passed on all the same.
"Tia has been fine," he said. "Fidgety, yes, but hardly anything I'm not used to." He gave his rumbling chuckle.

Re: Family Matters [Attn: Riahana Gaidar]
Riahana took his hand and stood next to him, "I think our daughter fidgets in her sleep." She chuckled softly as she looked from him to Mia, and then a moment later, the twins as they stepped out together. She looked to each and every one of them, and was still gobsmacked that her children would have the chance to meet her Memme.
The Gaidar looked back to Miahala, "Memme, I'd like you to meet my husband, Gareth, and our children, Tia and Einion." She paused, "Tia and Einion. . .this is your Great Great Grandmother Miahala, otherwise known as my Memme."
Tia had never been known to be shy, and stepped forward, "Mother has shared so many stories about you. . .Me...heh, I don't even know what to call you!"
((OOC: I Forgot how confusing mutiple character posts can be!))

A Trip to the Yellow Halls
Miahala Ives
It had been a very long time since the Green Aes Sedai had had any cause to be in the Halls of the Yellow, aside from where the Infirmary was located although that wasn't in the living quarters of the Ajah. She's not sure she'd ever been in this section of the halls, since she'd never been that intimately acquainted with a Yellow. She knew that this was about to change, however, and she would likely be spending more time in the Yellow Halls.
Arriving at the appropriate quarters, she knocked on the door and was granted entrance by her great granddaughter. She smiled warmly but her attention was instantly turned to the others.
Miahala was able to get a handshake in with the large man she was now related to before her great, great granddaughter was upon her, but the enthusiasm of youth brought a smile to her lips. The girl favored her mother physically, and perhaps in personality as well. While her brother, who Mia glimpsed behind the girls, favored his father.
"I suppose you can choose the name you with to call me. Your mother took to calling me memme, so you could always say grandmemme."
((OOC: I know, lol. That's why I have decided to only do one per post.))

Mellow Yellow?
Tia smiled, "Grandmemme....can't confuse it with Grandmother...and I like it." She nodded, "Grandmemme it is, and I probably don't just speak for myself when I say that I've been looking forward to this moment...to meeting you since mother and father told us the news."
Riahana laughed softly and looked to Mia, "Tia always longs to hear stories of adventures from the Tower. And if you hadn't noticed can be quite excitable."

Re: Family Matters [Attn: Riahana Gaidar]
Miahala Ives
Miahala laughed softly. "The young should be so enthusiastic," she said easily. "Before they become old and boring." Her blue-green eyes glittered with humor. It was an affection reserved for children, particularly those she was related to. The Oaths of course tampered the teasing she might do otherwise, but an Aes Sedai of her years of course had no trouble figuring it out. "I can't imagine what silliness I've been getting up to in such tales." She smiled at Riahana, and then back to Tia.
Then she peered around the girl to the rather shy boy behind her. He was only about a head shorter than his father and at just fifteen was already showing the same broad shoulders. He had the Saldean eyes, but his father's looks-been-broken-twice nose.
"You must be Einion," she said, the same warmth and affection in her tone as she sought to draw him out from behind his sister's giddiness.
Einion Tomosan He could never be as effusive as his twin, but it worked out. Who could tolerate two balls of energy like that, after all? They complemented one another, instead of replicating. His smile was shy as he bowed his head. "I am, Grandmemme," he said, immediately adopting his sister's chosen name for the woman. "I am glad to meet you at least as well." He paused, tilting her head with one half of his smile quirking upward. "I think my mother--" His eyes flashed to Ria. "--is unlikely to have exaggerated or made up silliness in her tales about you."

Re: Family Matters [Attn: Riahana Gaidar]
Tia looked from her brother to her mom, "Einion is right. . .Mother is not much of an embellisher, but now that you are here, perhaps we can hear about some of your adventures directly from you?"
"Down, Tia, down," Ria teased lightly, "Perhaps we can all sit down to our meal and talk over dinner so that our food won't go cold?" She gave an amused look to Gareth, and shook her head slightly. The twins lived up to their individual reputations, which she expected. She just hoped Tia's enthusiasm didn't wear Miahala out.

Re: Family Matters [Attn: Riahana Gaidar]
Gareth Tomosan
Despite all the things his wife had told him over the years about her great grandmother, Miahala Sedai was still not what Gareth expected. He had, after all, only met her on the briefest of formal occasions in the past. She had died before he and Ria had gotten close enough to meet the Green on those grounds, but now, here she was.
Admittedly, the Yellow in him was absolutely fascinated with the mystery: the woman had been dead. Rumors had strongly circulated that she had been stabbed in the gut and bled out before Caden Ives could even carry her up from the dark levels of the Tower.
She had been dead. Assuredly. The Yellows had made sure of it. So how was she standing here now? He knew that he could not ask, even though he dearly wanted to. Could a Yellow solve the mystery now, so long after the fact? Maybe with an Indigo, and perhaps a Brown who could research precedent...
Gareth! He blinked and snapped himself out of it, embarrassed for something none of them could now. It wasn't something he would talk about to Riahana, as it felt...indelicate. And rude. Still, he couldn't help his curiosity.
"You heard your mother," he rumbled, bringing himself back into his better thoughts with a fond smile for his children. "Both of you to the table and give the woman some room to breathe." His broad frame moved with surprisingly agility to gather his children with a hand to back of both of their shoulders, drawing them to the small table with small groans and complaints that they hadn't been "that bad."
Miahala Ives Watching a father corral his twins brought back warm memories to Mia's mind of Darien steering Tarvin and Tianna like that, although it had been when they were but three. That was when Tianna had fallen through the Ter'angreal--something Miahala had still not forgiven herself for, as a mother--and returned almost a month later, somehow aged fifteen years and already married!
Even the Indigos could do little more than shrug and offer vague explanations, but she had been happy and stayed only a little while at the Tower before returning to build a family. And a family she did build; a family that led to the one standing before the Green, reminding her of where it started.
Letting Gareth and the young twins proceed them, Mia looked at Ria. "Your children are lovely, child," she said fondly. "They remind me of your grandmother and her brother."

Riahana looked to her children and smiled warmly, "Thank you, Memme. . .I can't express to you what it means to me that you've gotten to meet them. They and Gareth. . .I am very grateful for the three of them. There are moments when I can't believe this is my life, that so many years have past and our twins are not so very far away from the age I was when I first stepped foot here. To be so near that threshold for them, and wonder what direction their own lives might take. . .what the Wheel has in store for them, and us, to be honest."
The Gaidar gave a soft laugh, "I could wax poetic all night, but then we would miss out on dinner. Come...let's eat."
