The Breakable Unbreakable
Greetings and salutations Tower people,
My name is Matty and as you can see, I am new.
THINGS ABOUT ME
I love cola
I have a black belt in Taekwondo
My favourite colour is green
I partake in tabletop roleplaying - Earthdawn and Forgotten Realms at the moment (4th ed)
I love books and would be working my dream job in a bookshop, if only I didn't have to turn up to work. Hah. But seriously though, I do like my job.
I have a terrible habit of listening to the same song over and over and over until my work colleagues want to strangle me. My current earworm is "Drive By" by Train. Other contenders: Unravel, the opening to Tokyo Ghoul; Eurovision (any); Speed and Friction by... erm... I think it's called Amazarashi, I just call it the toilet song because of the music video.
You can use these points to make polite conversation with me hurray!
It's been a while but I thought I would give WoT a go and see what happens. Hopefully I will get to know you all very soon.
In the Light,
Matty

Re: The Breakable Unbreakable
I can't stand Forgotten Realms. Some of the races and bits of the setting are interesting to me, and I totally get why people do enjoy it, but I can't abide it personally.
I also love cola, so long as we're talking about Pepsi-Cola. That's the subject of my first question in a new restaurant, "Do you do Pepsi or Coke?" There is only one right answer.
Otherwise, welcome! What is your character going to be? Soldier? Novice? Drin'far'ji?

Welcome! I also often listen to the same song over and over... Though it's usually S&G, PP&M, or some arrangement by Peter Hollens. I currently take Karate, and my character, Daelar Ralead, is much more skilful at fighting than I am.

Welcome, Matty! Welcome! I also work at a bookstore (but part time along with a full time job of doing paperwork). Also, I love Tokyo Ghoul! Have you seen the anime or read the manga, or is it just the song that you like? lol

Re: The Breakable Unbreakable
So many lovely kind people here!
To answer questions in the order in which they appear:
I love cola and can drink pepsi, there is definitely a difference between the two though. I tend to have a can of coke a day, but as someone who doesn't drink or smoke I allow this to be my vice.
My character is going to be a somewhat grizzled Soldier who has a bit of life experience under his belt. I hope he fits the ethos of the site. I think it's cool that guys can choose an Ajah and go through the Three Arches - I'm looking forward to hopefully sticking around and seeing how Murdock is shaped by the world he's in.
I actually started listening to the song through the artist Pellek, who does metal covers of many anime openings. Since then I have seen the first season of Tokyo Ghoul and I absolutely loved it - then I purchased the Manga, which is sitting on my bookshelf now, added to my queue of Stuff To Read.
Thank you for the kind welcomes!
