ANYWAYS! The award nominations went around in October and these are the results. I know that there have been things since I would have nominated for, but I'll catch that next time around and for now, gush at people privately. Otherwise, here--not really in any particular order and with nominating texts included--are this season's awards...
Bree (Makenna Grenaldi) The Black Ajah has only just begun to rise in prominence, and Bree has been such a great help in that. She is wonderful in Ajah development and plot creation, and I can't wait to see where she goes in the Black Ajah.
2. I know that she's not yet fully raised, but upon her return to activity, she's pretty much the only White doing anything and she's already jumped on an active thread about for logic/deduction tutoring and has talked to me about making it a class. For a chronically underrepresented Ajah, I admire her efforts and want to reward that.
2. Sean is very dedicated to his character's development, as I've learned through multiple conversations now! He plans both in the long term and the short term, considering many angles about the character as he was created, as he's writing now, and how he might possibly develop. As I'm all about the story, I think this is fantastic and should be recognized.
Jenny (Mirin Ronaile) In Jenny's case, this should almost be called "came in like a bat out of hell" award. She came in and was on top of things from day one. Writing with others and almost everyone, ideas for growth and development, and making Accepted pretty darn quickly. I love seeing this sort of enthusiasm and activity.
Quibby (Mehrin 'Deathwatch' Mahvon) This nomination doesn't quite fit Depth of Character because I don't know if he has long term plans, but it's the closest I have for an award that's otherwise for "kick-ass creative character." I haven't written a lot with him (yet) but what little I've seen from his biography and writing on the Border Patrol thread, he is highly creative and an exemplary writer with such an intricate character; writing with skill and balance. And I'd like to recognize these things.
Roan I am nominating Roan for this award for, quite bluntly, helping to keep me sane, even though she knows it is generally a lost cause with me... She has listened to incoherent rambling on Grey Tower matters--both in GT2 and GT3!--and currently has helped me cover matters in the administration when other officers were unavailable, even being new to her officer's job. In general, she's...kinda invaluable to me in every RP group I'm in that I manage to talk her into joining me in...
2. I wasn't sure what best to nominate her for, but I knew that her remarkable enthusiasm and energy needed to be recognized. She's quick on the mark, willing to write with just about everyone, and develop her character.
Not only has she stayed active with these on-going threads, but the quality of her posts has remained exemplary and add depth to the RPs. I know how hard it can be to stay on top of things when RL seems to constantly throw lemons at you, but Bella caught every single one and made lemonade.
Note from Bella: Thank you for this one. I probably would've tried to leave it off if I didn't think people would notice...
