It occurred to Durent that if it was he that had been brought back to life, and possibly by the Black Ajah, he would need a bit more reassurance from friends than he had just given Miahala. She didn't show anything, but she was a master of hiding her emotions, much better than himself for sure. "Information is definitely what we need."
He decided to take a chance on it, just in case. He took her hand gently between two of his and looked her in the eyes, a most earnest resolve on it. "I didn't mean to dismiss your predicament so quickly. I promise you, we will find out what exactly happened, find the source of your being brought back, and if there is any shadow at play with it, we will banish it back to the pits where it came from, Light willing."

Re: Reunion in the Green Halls (Attn: Mia)
Touch still felt strange to her, and it hadn't happened (at all, almost) since she had come back to life. Mostly, it had been her family, but then, was Durent not family too?
Mia stared at his hands around hers for a moment as she listened to his words. A faint smile, small but sincerely warm, curved the corners of her mouth as she lifted her eyes to him. "Thank you, Brother," she said quietly. "Who would ever have guessed that being brought back from the dead would be such a thoroughly disconcerting experience?"

Durent gave her a warm smile in return. "Who, indeed? I myself always thought the idea of death and coming back would be downright pleasant," he said with a wink.
He allowed the moment to pass in comfortable silence for a few seconds. "What I do know, is that if the Shadow had a hand in bringing you back in the hopes that you'll be a part of their plan somehow, I think they bit off a bit more than they can chew." Durent leaned back, releasing her hand and took a deep breath. "I feel cautiously optimistic. The Tower is moving in a good direction at the moment, and even with this possible storm on the horizon, it has always weathered such."
He looked outside and noticed the time, "And with that I think I need to be going, I have a sparring session to run to. We should keep in touch and meet again soon, I think."

[OOC: Psst. Dude. Ayden isn't in this thread.

Never one to keep someone long enough than they chose, barring her being wed or the mother of such person, Miahala rose smoothly to her feet and maintained the small smile...even though her face didn't seem as suited to the expression as it once had been. "Yes, we should," she agreed more firmly. "It has been good to see you and speak with you today, Durent. Thank you."
