Miahala Ives Miahala was a woman who had many questions. Anyone who had died and then somehow been brought back to life with no memory of how it happened would have questions. The problem was that she wasn't sure where to turn for answers. She had spent time in the library, but nothing particularly clear had shown itself. Then again, she hadn't spent that much time in the library during her life, so she wasn't sure she best knew how to look.

The best guess that she had was that somehow the One Power had been involved. In truth, she didn't know what else it could be. Many fears had lingered in her mind that it had somehow been the Shadow at work, but then why would she feel just as righteous as when she had died, and still be bound by the Oaths? In fact, how death hadn't broken her oaths, she had no idea at all...but it was the truth. So how could it be Shadow's work?

She needed help. She had to admit that she could not do this search for answers all on her own, but who could she turn to?

Yes, she had friends in the Grey Tower. Which ones could help with this? Most were Greens, and if this was perhaps the work of the One Power, or maybe an Object of Power, then an Indigo would be the one to help. There was Jerid, but he'd always felt more like a comrade in battle than in research. The only other Indigo she knew remotely, or felt she could trust at all, was Illyria. Perhaps the Mistress of Novices could aid her... If she wasn't in labor.

Mia remembered those days well.

Given that it was afternoon, she made the guess that the woman would be in her office, and it seemed...somehow safer to approach her on neutral territory. So she found her way to the office of the Mistress of Novices, which had so long been her own, and hoped there wasn't some terrified Novice inside as she knocked. No, actually, in her mood, she almost wished there was since she'd enjoy adding to it. For old time's sake.
