Miliane loved the smell of the storages in the Infirmary. She had always been fond of herbcraft, and her earliest memories were from the floor of Wise Woman's shop. Still, after all these years, the combined smells of lavender, chamomille and pokeleaf always managed to cheer her up and make her feel at home.
The Yellow Sister was dressed in dark green dress, and her mahogan hair was tied to a neat yet casual bun. The expression she wore was of serene Aes Sedai - calm; Miliane's sorrow was hers and no one else's.
Working again with patients had made her feel better, though. Finding about her ability to Heal had been the real catalyst for Miliane's desire to be an Aes Sedai, and her love for Healinghadn't lessened since then.
Miliane returned to the Infirmary with some goosemint. Some of the patients always had stomach-aches, as longer bedrest was wont to do. Those were never worth of Healing with the One Power, but she didn't like to leave those symptoms untreated either.
She looked around, trying to decide which patient to deal with first. Fortunately for people, the Infirmary was quiet that day.
So it didn't bother her when she noticed an Accepted entering.
"Can I help you?" she asked with a soft voice.

Re: Reflection (Tag Taylin)
Taylin walked in from the yards, her hair smelled of the warming spring sun and her skin held a healthy glow. She'd been out with Louis, though not hunting, just letting the large bird stretch his wings. She was returning him to the aerie and then headed to a class on Healing and an interview with a yellow. She stopped by her rooms for enough time to right her hair and dress in the mirror, before heading to find the Aes Sedai she'd been told to attend.
Within the Yellow Halls everyone seemed kind, smiling and helpful. But they were a bit too close-knit for her liking. She found the door to the Aes Sedai she was seeking, only for a servant to answer the door and giver her a piece of paper. She read it and sighed, headed to the infirmary.
She found the first Sister she saw and offered the note, explaining the Sister had been called to the town, and asked if Taylin could benefit from learning hands on with the injured. Yellows and their charity. Taylin didn't much like touching other people, so this would be an experience.
Bowing she'd introduce herself, allowing Miliane to take in the letter.

Re: Reflection (Tag Taylin)
Miliane smiled gently at the Accepted. She remembered how enthusiastic she had been to start learning about Healing, and she liked to help others learn how to make the world a better place.
Servant of All, indeed.
She read the note Taylin was carrying, and nodded.
"Very well. As you can see, things are fairly quiet today in the Infirmary. I should have plenty of time to show you around and let you see how things are done here. Have you ever Healed anyone yet?"
Miliane gestured Taylin to follow her.
"When patients arrive here, the first thing we do is asses how ill or injured they are, and treat them accordingly. I'm sure you can understand why we would begin in that case with those who are most in need of our help."
She arrived near a bed where a man with a broken leg was laying. He had arrived a little while ago, his leg already properly supported.
Miliane nodded and smiled at him reassuredly.
"I'm sure you are willing to get back to your life in any moment," she said to the man. "It will take only a minute."
She then turned towards Taylin.
"Please, only observe what I do this time. I want to make sure you know what you do before actually working with anyone," she said to the Accepted. "I always start by Delving a patient. That way I will know exactly what I am dealing with," she continued.
"Delving uses Spirit," she said as she weaved, enjoying the warmth of Saidar at the same time. "It seems like the man is indeed suffering from a broken bone, and is in good health otherwise," she said and nodded to the man. "Don't worry, this will be over very soon."
"Now, I will Heal him. Healing uses Water, Air and Spirit, and like with most weaves, we direct them where we want to do something. Please observe," she continued as she Healed the man. He shuddered as the Healing took place.
"Thank you, Aes Sedai," he said with a shaken voice. He took the
supports away from his leg and was able to walk again.
Miliane smiled at him as he walked away.
"Healing can be dangerous if done wrong, so if you have any questions, and I mean any, please ask them before doing anything."

Re: Reflection (Tag Taylin)
Taylin walked along behind the pretty Sister. She wasn't as oddly out of place as she had been as a novice, and her self-assurances had grown lengthy, giving steel to her backbone. She smiled politely and shook her head no, in answer to the woman asking if she had ever Healed anyone. Gabrial Sedai had healed her, but she had been near blind and not seen the weaves.
Taylin glided along behind Miliane as they assessed patients in the waiting area. They walked on down the hall until there were beds lining the walls to either side; people moved from one sick bed to another. She was relieved the man they went to had already had his break cleaned, and awaited healing. She didn't much like blood, or the idea of it getting everywhere while she watched the person die. It was just creepy.
Taylin held the Source, though did not channel it. She watched carefully as Miliane Delved with Spirit. It looked complicated, but doable. She ran the weave through her mind ten times, memorizing it.
Now Water, Air, and Spirit. These were her three strongest elements, and the weave was complex in a way to make Delving look easy. Taylin's time learning to Cloud Dance, had made her skill with these particular elements very fertile.
"I may have one question Aes Sedai. Is this the way they Heal someone who has been .. burnt out?" Taylin asked it with a hint of fear to the word. It was a fate as bad as death in her mind. All of your life training, gone in a flash.

Re: Reflection (Tag Taylin)
Miliane watched Taylin approvingly. The girl was obviously serious about learning, and was not there to cause trouble or something, like testing her limits. Some girls who wanted to be introduced to the Infirmary giggled the whole time uncontrollably, some fainted and some even vomited. It was frustrating to waste time on them when she could have been working, but Liane almost felt like it was her sacred duty to teach the next generation of channelers. And chances were someone would actually learn from her, and some could even find a passion in Healing. Everyone deserved a chance.
The Yellow Sister was slightly surprised from Taylin's question. She frowned, not disapprovingly. She wondered where she got her question, but she understood the concern. Which channeler wouldn't dread even the thought of burning them selves out?
"Hmm..." she began. "There are very few cases when someone has managed to do so. Nynaeve Sedai was the first one ever succeeding in it, and she is a Healer of almost unbelievable talent." She paused.
"I remember reading that she used all five Powers when Healing, and that is also something that is very rarely done."
OOC: Sorry this is so short

Re: Reflection (Tag Taylin)
Taylin worked near Milane for a couple of hours, her mind slowly working through as she was learning. She'd just healed a man of an intestinal blockage that would have otherwise lead to dysentery and death. Wiping her brow she looked at the older man and his wife with a small smile, removing sweat from her brow. "You will be fine, soft foods for the next few days, and you'll have some abdominal discomfort."
Taylin went to a wash-bin, cleaning her hands and making sure she kept clean. Part of keeping people healthy was not bringing sicknesses from others into rooms with new people. She found Milane Sedai during a rather consuming healing, a guard had fallen from one of the walls, and by the looks of it, he was lucky to make it to the infirmary. Regular healing was taxing on not only the channeler, but the one being healed. This man surely could not survive that.
"Milane Sedai, you said there was a different way to heal, with all five elements. If we do what we normally do, the shock will kill him. Do you know the other way, or may I try? The man is dead either way, his hope is slim." Taylin spoke calmly even as she lent her hands to be bloodied trying to hold the man together.

Re: Reflection (Tag Taylin)
The hours flew by. Miliane was very pleased to see that Taylin worked efficiently, and she seemed to have a knack for this kind of work. The Accepted had even grasped the basics of nursing (cleanliness and comforting patients), and the Yellow Sister began to hope that she had gained a mentee. The Yellow Halls were not as full as she would have hoped, and it would be wonderful to gain a new Sister at some point. Miliane had been working side by side with the girl for the few hours, and she was beginning to be certain that Taylin had truly grasped the basics of Healing well enough to let her deal with less demanding patients unsupervised.
Miliane explained about the different injuries and illnesses as they continued working, mostly relating to the cases the were working on. If the girl would turn out to be a Yellow Aspirant, she would need to start learning these things at some points. For a Healer, it wouldn't be enough at all to simply know the Healing-weave, Healers needed to know a lot more if they were to be competent at their work. Miliane had noticed that many people remembered things best when there was a concrete example, especially if they dealt with that example personally. After a few hours Miliane noticed that she had to deal with a few patients that required more attention. She let Taylin deal with few patients on her own, of course with careful and detailed instruction on how.
The Yellow Sister was proud of her student, the girl had managed to work very efficiently. She was certain the girl had to be tired already, learning new weaves and using them was always demanding of the channeler, especially when it came to Healing. Yet she hadn't complained at all which was admirable.
Then Miliane noticed the badly injured man being brought in, and heard Taylin's question.
She delved the man herself, and agreed silently with Taylin that the man would have very slim chances on surviving, but that wouldn't mean they couldn't try.
"Taylin," she began, "I agree that Healing him will be dangerous. But he still has a chance, and that is why we are taking the safe route. Embrace the Saidar and Delve him again, I'll explain with a little more detail what we are going to do once you tell me the extent of his internal injuries," she said. "If you continue your studies with Healing and at some point want to explore if you can Heal with all the Five Elements, the patient will be one with minimal injuries so that the risk of things going wrong is minimal," she added.

Re: Reflection (Tag Taylin)
By now, Taylin was tiered. She kept the sweat off of her by force of will, taking heed from the other Aes Sedai. She would be like them soon, and be expected to see the worst and maintain control and calm. Some of the injuries made her want to sick up, like a man who's shin had broken straight out of the skin. The muscle and sinewy tendons were exposed and blood was plentiful. That wasn't the worst she'd seen, but for the moment she tried to push it back.
It hadn't all been bad, earlier she had seen a child who rested nearby on a mat with his mother, Taylin had made her way to them, wiping her hands on a cloth apron. The mother seemed thankful, and relieved as Taylin took the boy between her palms and Delved him. A minor illness of the bowls. She'd direct her weaves under the careful eye of another Aes Sedai. She focused on the blockage and smiled as she felt things alter. She sat him back with his mother, nodding at her thanks.
There would be no thanks here, this man was alone, and she was sure he would die. What compassion a Yellow must have, in order to be here at times such as these. Taylin was gentle, laying cool hands to the man's head. She winced as she spoke calmly. "He has several broken ribs, two breaks in one legs, three in the other, his lung has been pierced." She knelt back a bit, looking to Milane as if to ask what to do.
