Gareth Tomosan Asha'man
For what may have been the millionth time, Gareth looked over himself and smoothed his Asha'man uniform unnecessarily over his abdomen. He was pleased that age hadn't put too much size on him, although he had always been a somewhat "bulky" man; kept in decent shape, but simply broad all over from his shoulders on down. His long dark blonde hair was tied back in a neat pony tail, and he almost felt like the past twenty years old of the Tower hadn't even taken place...
...except for the obvious evidence in twin fifteen year old children. That was always a giveaway.
For the moment, however, he was on his way to report in to the Head of his Ajah. The role had changed hands since he left. He recalled Miliane Sedai from the Ajah while he had still been there, though could not recall any direct interactions. So for all intents and purposes, this would be their first meeting and he was determined to make a good impression.
Reaching the door, the tall man--standing a good nineteen hands (6'4")--paused and checked himself over one more time. Then he politely knocked on the office door of the Head of the Yellow Ajah, Miliane Sedai.

Re: The Proper Channels [Attn: Miliane Sedai]
Miliane sneezed in a very un-Aes Sedai-like manner. She had ordered a poor Soldier that had been in the wrong place at the wrong time to fetch her 10 years worth of case-studies from the archives. She was planning to search for patterns, to see which kind of treatments had been most effective and which had not worked so well, all in order to make the work in the Infirmary as effective as possible. The binders were full of yellowish parchment and dust, and she would have very long few weeks ahead of her. There were dozens of used quills and empty ink-bottles laying on her table, proof of her last two all-nighters on the project. Her office had not been cleaned during that time.
When Miliane had returned to work that morning it had been evidently clear that the room needed to be ventilated, so she had opened the window. It didn't help that much, but at least the air was breathable again.
She wiped her hands in her navy-blue dress that was slightly wrinkly due to being worn yesterday, but she hadn't really cared about polishing her appearance due to studying - she didn't expect really seeing anyone. All she cared about was that it felt comfortable. Perhaps Amadeo - her Brown friend - had had more an impact on her than she had previously thought. Her mahogan hair was tied to a loose braid, practicality being the determining factor in the morning rather than finery.
A few hours of work, and it was time to brew some tea. The tiny woman - she was fairly thin and only 5,1 feet tall - felt her stomach grumbling, and decided to drop by in the infirmary and send someone to get her some food. She was just getting up, and was annoyed when she noticed ink had stained her fingers a bit. She sighed, and thought that perhaps she would stop her work a little earlier that evening and take a really hot and long bad. She would definitely love one.
Then she heard knocking from her door.
"Come in," she said, deciding that if the issue would need more than a minute of her time, she would insist on eating lunch with the visitor.
OOC: Sorry this took longer than I thought.

Re: The Proper Channels [Attn: Miliane Sedai]
Hearing the call to enter, Gareth opened the door and stepped inside.
It certainly wasn't quite how he had expected it to be. The piles of binders stuffed with parchments and scattered writing utensils hinted at the mayhem of research, which shouldn't have been a surprise in a way and yet was in others. His face, which was inherently not the most expressive, didn't show his thoughts of course. He simply stepped into the room and turned to the (tiny) slightly harried looking Aes Sedai and briefly wondered if he'd ended up in the Brown halls by accident.
"Miliane Sedai," he greeted, not forming it as a question but there was a hint of question there as he bowed his head. "I am Gareth Tomosan Asha'man. Do you..." He looked around the room. "...have a moment?"
