Avyra Moeryr
| With a huff, Avyra dropped down from her toes, glaring up at the high bookshelf. She was in quite a situation. The short Novice had made the mistake of wanting a rather hard to reach book on the tall shelves, about midway up. For someone quite a bit taller, it would have been eye level, but she couldn't even reach her hands up there no matter how far she stretched. Now, she had a few options, but none of them worked. Jumping in her Novice whites had already proved useless; she had tested it before. If she was alone, she would have already gotten the book by climbing the shelf, no big. But the Browns would not appreciate her clambering up the shelves like they were trees. They already didn't appreciate her clambering up the trees, another thing she had found out by experience. She couldn't channel alone yet, being a Novice, even though she was sure she could wrap Air around the book and gently pull it down to her. Her only other option was to ask for help. But that was the pathetic thing to do. So she resolved to glaring at the book, standing back a few feet to consider any other options, but none came to her. She gritted her teeth. She really really wanted that book. |
