Saldaea is well known for their fierce warriors; something that comes naturally when you border the Great Blight in the north. Those that know a little more about the western-most Borderland nation have heard of the fierceness of their goodwomen too. They may not stab you in the chest like an Altaran, but you'd be a fool to underestimate one nevertheless.

♫ Smell like I sound, I'm lost in a crowd

You'd be a fool to underestimate Meriana Rayere. Yes, she may have the occasional flower in her hair like a girl enjoying a feast day, but she knows how to use the sword at her hip. She also knows how to survive in the wilds, and keep herself from danger. It's hard to live off the land, avoiding falling foul to flora and fauna alike.

Of course, Meriana has a secret. One even she may be unaware of. She has felt the call of the wolves. Maybe, if an untoward situation hadn't intersected itself with Meriana's life, she would have been none the wiser. Then again, without a chance encounter with a sister of the Grey Tower, she may never have come to us either.
