Quick question now that skill caps have been swapped. Can a thread written when you were a Soldier, be submitted once your a Dedicated?

For WS and Talent points, yes. For RRs, no.

Can a class be co-written? I was just wondering because it would open the doors for some interesting RP experiences and in character it would make sense. Sometimes two characters might have some overlapping skills but specialize in other areas so they come together to teach a full class. For example, one character knows about military logistics, manning camps, requisitions, and other administrative things, and the other knows more about aggressive and defensive military actions. They can get together and teach an interesting Siege/Counter-siege Warfare class.

Classes can be co-written. It takes a little more logistical work, but it cane be done. Though historically, it's been for channeling classes with the male and female channelers. (Not to say that it has to be that way, just that it's what the past examples will look like.)

Question about weapons skills and time order. My drin is currently in an unarmed class and working on a thread where she will earn her first point in another weapon. Since these events take place before the MRP, is it acceptable to roleplay within the bounds of what she would know? And if I use the secondary weapon in an acceptable way, could I use that content towards points, even though the time order is a little funky?

And for clarity - I will only use what I have already written out, especially in terms of the Unarmed Combat class. I have no intentions of running around like I've already got two points, but for instance, Muireein would know the basic defensive stance, because I've passed that particular lesson.

Becks, I would say if you don't yet have points in either, then feel free to pay as if you have at least one point. The idea of the skill points is to give a framework and context/reference to work from and to ensure people don't play beyond the skill of their character.

Since your drin is learning both unarmed and war fans, I would say you could safely rp as if she was at one point or slightly more for the unarmed depending on how far along you are in the class.

You can, of course, use the MRP to apply for skill points so long as the weapon or skill is featured as part of the thread. I believe the weapon skill point page addresses this point in a bit more detail.

For submitting a fanfic, is there anyway for me to make sure it meets the requirements for the amount of points I'm looking for? In other words, if I want to submit a fanfic to use for my first point in daggers, can I make sure that it meets the requirements for that point before it's submitted and/or edit it after submitted so it meets the requirements?

(no this is not hypothetical)

Short answer: anything submitted for a skill point will be considered for one skill point. You need to make sue you meet the word count outlined on the weapons skill point page. If you ask for more than one point, know that we don't grant it just because word count is met. We look for writing quality and that the skill in question is the feature of the thread or fanfic.

Does this help?

Mostly. I also wanted to make sure that if I submit a fic and I'm told it doesn't qualify I can fix it
