Avyra could hear his voice break. She could see the sorrow and loss in his eyes; heck, she could almost smell it. It broke her heart. She couldn't bear to see such sorrow in someone. She deserved it. Not him. Sinking back into his chair, he buried his face back in his book, as though to signal the end of the conversation. Avyra paused for a moment, then she stood, walking around the table to stand beside him. Then she stood up on her toes, putting her arms around him to the best of her ability. He probably needed it. She dropped the hug quickly, but gave a soft smile. "Thank you for your kind words, Ravak Gaidin. I hope that things get better for you. You aren't alone here. If you need to talk, I'll always be there to listen. Even if I can't be of help."
