A Contemplation of Grey [ATTN: Derren Asha'man]

Taesh thought for a moment and then shook his head, leaning forward so that the chair was once again sturdy on all for legs. He smiled brightly, pushing the chair back to give himself enough room to bow to the Asha'man.

"You have mended the sails for me Derren Asha'man, and I thank you for taking the time to do it" the Dedicated said. "The waters might be choppy, but at least I feel a little better knowing my place in the sea, as it were. I can admit, I was a bit shaky for a while, I thought, if I made a decision that they Grey didn't agree with I might be forced to choose another. ajah" at that Taesh did visibly show a bit of disdain.

His mind wandered to Valadin Asha'man, and the Green's seeming fondness, almost longing for violence and battle. Taesh had not seen the Green since their adventure in Amadacia, and the Atha'an Miere had no desire to be reacquainted anytime soon. The entire ordeal had shaken him, and only affirmed that battle and the Green Ajah were completely opposite of what the Dedicated felt for his life calling. He did appreciate that some degree of defense training may be necessary for self-preservation; but he would never feel joy in the act.

He had thought that if he could not be Grey, he could perhaps be Blue, and if not Blue then maybe Brown, but his heart was set on the Grey. They talk with the Grey Asha'man had set his world to rights again, as much as it could be in such as time as dynamic change within the Tower. "Thank you again Derren Asha'man" Taesh said, truly grateful for the measure of peace that the conversation had gifted.

"It was a pleasure, Dedicated," the Grey responded. He knew of both the uncertainty that came with life, especially when young--at one point, he thought his lineage would dictate his Ajah and that would have sent him in a very different direction--but also about knowing what was right for yourself, your calling, and what was needed to pursue it.

It seemed this young man had his path known, and would stay the course. "I am available should you need anything further." It was not an offer made to all, but he saw a bit of himself in this one and wanted to aid his pursuit to the Grey Ajah.
