The hallway outside the Mistress of Novices' office was disappointingly empty. It was odd, how she wished to see a black-clad man, when she had been looking over her shoulder, fearing to see one, the whole way here. How quickly the mind changed.
Kitty looked down at the note in her hand, not because she needed to remember what it said; no, the number was already saved in her mind. She didn't even see the handwriting, only paused to gather her mind. So, now she was here, bound to the Grey Tower. Ready for a new start, wasn't that what they called it? Now, where to go from here?
She looked up and down the hallway, and deciding this way was best, started walking. Not long and only a few detours later she found her way to the third floor of the Novice Quarters. Fourth door to the right. One. Two. Three.
Four. This was it. Her feet came to a halt in front of the door, and she paused, one hand raised halfway to the handle. The Mistress of Novices had spoken of a roommate. Would she be inside now? Or off to class or chore or whatever novices did at this hour? Kitty felt a bit nervous barging in on another. And possibly just as nervous barging into another's room when that person wasn't there. But then again, it was to be her room as well.
Kitty suddenly felt foolish. A slightly nervous hand brushed away a wavy blonde tuft of hair from her face, as green eyes glanced quickly up and down the hallway. Thankfully no one else were there to see her standing there like a fool. But just to be sure she quickly stepped into the room before anyone showed up. So quickly that she forgot to knock or check if anyone actually was inside before she closed the door behind her.
((OOC: Here we go! I leave it up to you if Elaile is already in the room, or if she shows up later.))
