Black and White (attn: Mirin/Anyone) COMPLETE

Thank you, Kitty signed as she accepted the white belt pouch. It was slightly frayed at the edges, clearly worn, but appeared to be in good shape still. She nodded at the Mistress of Novices' request - order - and emptied her own pouch of its contents. A pen, a couple of spare tips, the travel-safe inkwell, and a small stack of blank sheets of paper, as well as a few that were already scribbled on. All of that moved into the white pouch, which she attached to her belt.

There was also a smaller pouch containing the coins she had left, a comb and some green ribbons, and a few personal trinkets. These were returned to the old pouch and taken by the Mistress of Novices and placed in a labeled box.

Kitty felt a small pang of regret and a tinkle of anger at the waste of it all as she tossed her old dress into the fireplace. It was quickly replaced with interest as she watched the weave of Air and Fire that made a quick process of her dress, noticing how the strands of Fire brought the heat and the intertwined strands of Air quickened the process, resulting in a blinding flash that reduced her dress to ashes almost instantaneously.

Third floor, fourth door. She put it to her memory, rendering the note obsolete, but she took it nonetheless, nodding at the mention of a roommate. Sharing would not be a problem; she was used to that. For as long as she could remember, she had shared her bedroom with someone else; her brother throughout her childhood, Neria and the Wayfarer's Inn until she and Daelan got their own place, and lastly Sloane at the Black Tower. How was Sloane doing now? Had she gotten into trouble because Kitty had left?

Kitty pushed thoughts of the Black Tower out of her mind, and looked up at the Mistress of Novices. She nodded and signed another thank you. Dropping into a deep curtsy, she turned to leave, to find her way to her new room

A part of her mind wondered if Adrian was still outside, and could show her the way. Or if she would meet him again soon.
