Wanted: A kick in the pants for a Warder

So Sojin Majere needs a kick in the pants. He's a trained Gaidin, one of the most skilled swordsmen in the Yards (earned a reputation as a trainee for putting a lot of opponents in the Infirmary), a veteran soldier, confident, yada, yada, blah, blah.

The thing is: he refuses to wear the fancloak. Long story short, he doesn't feel he's worthy to bond again. In his career as a Gaidin, he's been bonded to a Green Sitter and a Keeper. He ran from the first one because of tragedy, and the second one ended off screen.

In the last nearly 20 years he's since avoided or shied away from accepting a bond. He hasn't donned his fancloak in that time either, and it's collecting dust. He doesn't think himself worthy of a bond, despite acting the proper Warder when it comes to protecting a channeler (well, in his own blunt, casual way of being proper).

So, yeah, he needs a kick in pants to say he's an acceptable Warder.

That said, if he wants a philosophical discussion, Sinead could have a go at him once she's Accepted.

When it comes to inspirational kick in the pants Riahana + Dax = awesome. (Yes, I'm wading through the entire chronology, albeit slowly).

I'm open to Sinead and Sojin thread. Chances are this would require a multi-prong attack that would eclipse a Prometheus-class starship's design. Papa dearest (Jerid Asha'man) tries his best but can't get through too much, so he needs additional prodding.

The other Jaryd might be able to help...he's rather observant. I'd need to get up to speed on background so I know what to work with, though.


I'd offer my new novice as bond bait, but I'm not sure she'd help him all that much...at least not with the feeling like a Warder again part. Maybe with the feeling like a man part? >_>

I volunteer Ravak as well. Apparently discipline is the Master of Training's job (who knew?), but in addition, it's simply unbecoming of a Gaidin or Gaidar not to wear the symbol of their rank on Tower grounds.

I do like the idea of the Top Warders drilling into Sojin's head that he needs to ship up before the moths eat his fancloak. Roan, Marit, Craig, if you're interested, I'd like to subject the poor silver-haired devil to scrutiny and prodding of Riahana, Yani and Ravak.
