"Darthalien, Elia Sedai." Darthalien considered what she'd said, then began a weave to explore the item. Spirit and Water... No, Water was no part of this and the item turned it away. He didn't press it. Spirit was his strongest element, and this item felt... No, not Fire, either. Or at least not much of it. It was a mix of Air and a little bit of Earth, and he was weakest in Air. Darkness take it. He tried anyway, encircling the stick with a net of air, then supplying a matching net of Fire... he pulled back and tried to gentle the fire, but it wasn't enough as it settled against the stick. It still reshaped the rod, but... the newly-formed glass had sparks woven through it.

The ring of Fire and the reservoir of Earth came easily enough, but they were again too strong against the basic vitrified wood. Not strong enough to destroy it, but overwhelmingly stronger than the first weave of Air that was supposed to contain all this. He added more Spirit, and as much Air as he could, trying to hold the whole thing together, and watched as it settled in place.

Darthalien sighed. "Elia Sedai, I fear have failed this test. So far as I can tell, the ter'Angreal is stable, and I assume you would have stopped me if it weren't, but... well, look at it. My mastery of Air wasn't strong enough to guide the transformation. Would you like me to guess what I think it might do?" He swallowed. "Because I suspect it might produce explosive bursts of light rather than the colorful sands of your own branch."

OOC: What Darth has just produced is more or less a wand of fireworks. It's not a weapon, exactly, but it could do some damage and it isn't safe to use except outdoors and pointed up. On the other hand, it could be one hell of an alarm...
