The Grey Tower

Liaran Sedai
As Miahala Sedai strode away, Liaran withdrew with her husband, following his suggestion that they should move to the side of the street. Once they were safely out of the way of anyone else, the Aes Sedai looked up at Haeden, studying him, all too aware that while he managed to ...

Ekaitza, Novice
Abandoning the impractical white dress sounded like a wonderful idea to Ekaitza. Much less exciting was the thought of proceeding through the door the Dedicated had opened, one that apparently led to a cellar beneath an inn. Ekaitza feared that the space would be in use by any ...

Liaran Sedai
Liaran heard her husband coming shortly before she actually saw him, and looked down at her dress with a sigh of frustration. The singed areas on her sleeves and tear where the sword had punctured her arm would tell him exactly what she’d had to do here, even if their shared emotions ...

Ekaitza, Novice

Ekaitza looked from the Dedicated to the Accepted and back, part of her wishing that the Accepted would demand that the novices stay behind. She would have no choice to obey, then, whether she wished to or not. When the Accepted reluctantly agreed to let them go, however, Ekaitza ...

Liaran Sedai
Before they left, Liaran turned her head to check on the horses. Her own had her head down, busily chomping at the grass, appearing entirely unaffected by the short fight between women and Shadowspawn. With no need to ride, she left Seawind there and trailed behind Miahala Sedai as ...

Liaran Sedai
Liaran looked up at her husband and shrugged. “I don’t think we’ll need much,” she said. “We should probably take the horses, maybe some water. I hope we won’t be there for more than a day or two at most…but I can’t be sure. I don’t know much more about what’s happening than we ...

Ekaitza, Novice
For a moment, Ekaitza stared at the man as if she hadn’t understood a single word. Then the novice caught herself and looked away, still struggling to make sense of what he’d said. Perhaps the man wasn’t a danger to them, but Ekaitza still found him rather frightening. The Tuatha ...

Liaran Sedai
The sheer amount of the One Power that the Green sister drew on, and the number of weaves she formed from it, left Liaran awed enough that for the first seconds after the rest of the Trollocs fell, she could do no more than stand still, staring at the bodies. She could not have ...

Liaran Sedai
It did not take long for Liaran to realize that as she walked towards her Warder, Haeden was also approaching her. She even managed a smile when she saw him at the other end of one of the Grey Tower’s many hallways, but the expression had long since faded by the time the two of them ...

Ekaitza, Novice
Ekaitza had no way of judging how long she spent captive in the room where she’d been brought. She watched the door, trying to gain some idea of what was happening, but all the Tuatha’an novice saw was a procession of people in and out of the space. Small groups of Novices ...
