The Grey Tower

Hello everyone! I'm Jenny and I am new to role playing. I have written a couple hundred thousand words on Fanfiction.net, but have never collaborated with others before. I'm excited to learn and share my passion for writing!

I don't really know how to get started, so any advice is appreciated. I'd love to start with a novice.

I have read all the WoT books and am currently working on my second re-read because I love re-reading books. With each pass, there are always things that I find that I didn't notice before.

I'm so excited to be part of this community and look forward to writing with you!

I'm pretty new here myself, literally weeks of time. They are a fantastic bunch though so I am sure you are going to love the experience here! If you need a hand don't hesitate to ask anyone for some help/pointers. The joining form is fairly straightforward and actually quite fun to complete, I know I enjoyed writing up my character.

Hi! Welcome to the Grey Tower. I was in a similar suit when I arrived here myself. If you have time to read through any of the current threads, there are alot of really good ones going right now that will give you a feel for the place. I recommend trying to find someone on the chatroom if you have a chance as well. When folks are on, it is a great place to get to know the other players.

This is one of my favorite pages on this site for reference when writing. It gives good visuals and helps you set the scene. There are additional links to other artworks done by past members in the art gallery link at the top right.

Also, the character creation information on the site has alot of good ideas of things to think about when you are putting your character together. The library has links to many resource pages and demographic information for reference. We are working on some Out Of Character [OOC] guidelines for new players creating their first characters, but that is a slllllloooooow process as we all have a different perspective.
