Blue Ajah Hall (OOC)

The Blue Ajah Ajah Info The Blue Ajah has long been the Ajah of Justice. We focus our efforts on promoting causes of justice throughout the world and promoting the Dragon Reborn. Both for the smaller causes, and for the single great one that a Blue may dedicate their life to, these are the ends that the Blues work endlessly towards.

As a Blue, much of our time is spent out of the Tower in this pursuit, as well as called upon to many countries to oversee trials and pass judgement. (Leading to the rumors that all we like to do is hit things with our gavels. Every Blue gets their own gavel upon Raising, but you didn't hear that from me.)

Among our many interests, there are also the rich traditions of drinking blue soda, and promoting the cause of the Cookie Monster.
Our Members Laela Alette

Mirin is aspiring to the Blue! I do have some personal thoughts about the Blue, though. Is this a good place to start this discussion?

The point of this post is to seek clarification on the mission statement of the Blue Ajah. I'm not sure if the Blue Ajah is called upon to oversee trials and pass judgment. In the books, the people called on to serve as judges are rulers or lords, such as Morgase, Perrin, and Gareth Bryne. It seems to me that Blue sisters would be too likely to push their own agendas instead of considering both sides neutrally. What is described as passing neutral judgment seems more likely for the Grey Ajah. But even then, Aes Sedai are most likely to serve as advisors, not as the judges, because people tend to view them with suspicion.

These are my personal thoughts. I wish we had more Blue sisters and brothers to chime in on this. Perhaps I'm missed something in the books, or the Grey Tower has some history with the Blues that I'm not aware of. What are your thoughts?

Justice and causes are definitely at the heart of being Blue, though I am not sure it's the kind of justice you would find in a court room ;)

Grey is more about diplomacy and negotiation than they are about judgments, for the record.

Daelar is aspiring to the Blue. Too many Greens, and White, Brown, Grey, and Indigo just aren't Daelar's type.
