The Grey Tower

I'm writing the "8 Ajahs" lesson next for Introduction and I would like to include a little tidbit from all those that are actually part of the Ajahs i'm not in personally.

Well...

The Brown Ajah is focused on knowledge in all it's forms. Collecting it and storing it. Because books are a common sourse of knowledge and members of the Brown Ajah love libraries. That's not the only way collect knowledge though, some members are more interested to go collect it directly from the source and do field trips to find out old relics, ruined cities or just collect information directly from people. Some of the Brown Ajah even like to more theorize. Most choose a specific branch of study, but a few love to study a lot of different things.

Were you looking something like that?

Well, I've got a novice destined for a specific Ajah, and a PSC in that specific Ajah. Does that count? xD

The Indigo Ajah was originally created at the beginning of the site’s history in order to replace the White Tower’s Red Ajah. Given that creating ter’angreal has been rediscovered, and the sudden reappearance of several Talents and Abilities that have been considered long-lost, it seems appropriate that there should be an Ajah dedicated to exploration the One Power.

Members of the Indigo Ajah can specialize in a wide variety of things: ranging from research in a specific Talent or Ability, weave creation, creating and working with complex or innovative ter’angreal, researching the Age of Legends and attempting to replicate its accomplishments, attempting to understand portal stones or waygates, to pretty much anything. If it involves the One Power, you can bet that the Indigo Ajah is interested.

The Indigo Ajah has a highly scientific streak. Unlike dedication to a specific purpose for moral or personal reasons, the Indigo Ajah is very research and knowledge driven. I’d say that we’re a sort of hybrid between Brown and White, with a particular twist on the “Why?” part of the equation. Do you need to be in the Indigo Ajah in order to involve your character in any of the things mentioned above? Of course not. But, if you’re looking for a place to start, the Indigo Ajah would be the place to go – it’s where academic expertise on the One Power resides at the Grey Tower.

As an out of character aside, the Indigo Ajah is a lot of fun, and roleplay opportunities are incredibly versatile. Even if you’re just looking to get your feet wet and you’re not sure about joining, there’s definitely something fun and out of the ordinary that can be written. Because the Indigo Ajah doesn’t have a particular “type” of character – both in canon and in RP, it can seem as though characters are sorted based upon personality - you see a lot of variety in our members and aspirants.

The Indigo Ajah is also well known for purple desserts, grape juice, adult grape juice, and for its silliness.
