The Grey Tower

As you know, America just got a whole lot darker for members of the LGBT community, women, minority cultures, and the poor. I know it, you know it, the entire damn world knows it. It's drastic, it's real, and it's terrifying. The reason I'm bringing it up in a place where we're supposed to have fun and ignore reality is because this is, frankly speaking, not something we can humanely disregard. Why? Because the vast majority of us are American and fit within at least one of those groups, and therefore many of us will come face to face with life and safety threatening situations in the coming years.

The fictional Grey Tower was formed to grant disparate groups a safe place to live and work peacefully together, away from the tyranny of established order. It's important to me that everyone, new and old alike, know that that is true of our real community as well. This site is a home away from home for our members, a place of safety, acceptance, judgment-free friendship and support. We ARE the Grey Tower. We ARE Guardians, Warders, and Servants of All. This place is safe, and will stay safe, whether you write regularly or never write at all.

Motivational speech aside: Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need help in the coming years; I will do everything within my power to assist and support you.
