Deeper Reflections [Attn: Jhanic, First Seeker]

Taesh made his way once again to the halls of the Indigo Ajah. A few days had passed since the Dedicated had met with the Master of Soldiers, and member of the Indigo Ajah. He had been given a task, to go and compile a list of notes on this ability to summon images of distant and familiar places within a mirror. The Atha'an Miere had taken to his assignment with fervor, wanting to know exactly this weave. Jhanic Asha'man had given the Dedicated much to contemplate, different applications of the weave and how it could be useful, or dangerous.
The meeting that Taesh was headed toward gave him a sense of nervousness and excitement. This meeting would not only include Jhanic but also the First Seeker of the Indigo Ajah. Taesh had never met the leader of an Ajah, and he wanted to make a good impression. The dark skinned channeler knew that he would not be choosing the Ajah but he still desired to leave a good impression.
As he continued to walk through the halls, towards the meeting space that the Novice who had informed him of the meeting indicated, Taesh began to look over his notes hoping that his words made sense. He was not one who knew all the technical terms when it came to explain Weaves and the One Power. There were many lines crossing out colloquialisms that referenced the sea to detail his explanations. The more he read the notes, the more he was affirmed that the Indigo, or note taking, were not his specialties. Hopefully, the Master of Soldiers, Jhanic, would be able to help Taesh verbally express what was written rather poorly.
The nervous Dedicated stopped in front of the door to the room that he had been told to report too. He took a deep breath, and rearranged the papers in a more seemly order before firmly knocking at the door.

Jhanic had arranged the meeting between Dedicated Taesh and Illyria Sedai, and it was the First Seeker who had chosen the small, private classroom for the Dedicated to present his report on the new weave. He had assured the Head of the Indigo Ajah that Taesh had been careful in uncovering all the weave could do, and that he was sure the young man's report would likely reveal even more. The Master of Soldiers had somehow managed to arrive at the room first. The space was empty, and he had not arrived with any supplies for a demonstration. He did come with the notes that he took when Taesh had demonstrated the weave to him the first time.
He had left it to Taesh to bring what was needed, and had left the option open for Illyira Sedai to bring anything extra she thought she may need. For his own part, Jhanic would serve as accountability for Taesh coming to him first, and he was also there to observe, as Illyria would not be able to see the weaves being made. Hopefully with the Dedicated's report, and with Jhanic's sketches and notes, she would be able to determine how a woman might be able to channel the weave successfully.
The Master of Soldiers was not in the room long before there was a knock on the door. Walking to the door, he pulled it open to let Taesh in. "Illyria Sedai has not arrived, but she should be here soon," he explained with a smile. He had had to set aside time for this meeting, but he knew that the First Seeker had her own schedule to keep as well.

Taesh walked slowly into the room, nodding in greeting to the Master of Soldiers. The Atha'an Miere was actually glad that the First Seeker had not arrived yet, it gave him a moment to go over his notes. He looked around the room and gave a quick nod of appreciation when he saw the standing mirror in a corner. He had requested such a mirror to be in the room, and he was glad that the request had been received. Taesh had notes though on some experiments he had done with beaten metal and water, but the best results came from glass mirrors.
"Thank you for assisting me Jhanic Asha'man" the Dedicated said as he walked toward the mirror to check it over.
"I hope that my notes will suffice. I am not researcher of weaves, but I think I have written everything down that I can."
Taesh looked himself over in the mirror, smiling at the image before he shifted his eyes to look at the Indigo Asha'man through the mirror's reflective surface.
"Of course my mind can be as scatter as the wind on the waves sometimes, but I will try and explain as best I can."
The Atha'an Miere was a little nervous about the explanation part. He had never had to explain to a women how he formed Weaves, and from the lessons as a Soldier, women and men wielded the One Power in completely different ways.

Illyria Malkom
Autumn was a welcome season in the Mountains of Mist: conservative dresses were no longer stuffy, and thick linens seemed less cumbersome in cold, stone chambers. Heavy lilac skirts rustled across cold tile as she crossed the threshold into the classroom. There was no need for her shawl, as the Master of Soldiers would recognize her, and had no doubt informed the Dedicated of her identity. New Talents were very rare. What was particularly surprising about Taesh's discovery was that it did not seem to be a lost ability, rediscovered by the turning of the wheel - there were no records that she could find of Scrying - but something born of pure innovation.
Illyria could not help but wonder if the young man would join her ranks and select an Indigo cord upon his raising, but even if he did not, he had impressed her. That was no small feat. She offered the Dedicated a small, thin smile as she shut the classroom door behind her, then greeted Jhanic. "This is the Dedicated that you spoke of, Master Jhanic? Your reports are very intriguing." Her gaze flicked from the flame-haired Aielman towards the dark-skinned Dedicated.
"Since I cannot wield saidin, I'm afraid I won't be able to really see the mechanics of what you're doing - but I would like to see a demonstration and explanation nonetheless, and in your own words. This is your work, Dedicated." Already, the Aes Sedai was mulling over what she had heard, and wanted to see a translation from saidin to saidar. If he truly could see what was occurring in other places without physically being present... Well, there were many practical applications for having eyes were spies could not easily intrude.
- Spoiler: show
- Okay! Short and sweet, and I have a gut-punch of a week lined up. I know that you both have a ton of RL stuff going on too, but hopefully we can get this off the ground and get it moving.

Taesh gave the First Seeker a respectable bow as she entered into the room, taking a deep breath as he did. Explaining the Talent to Jhanic had been easy enough, the Master of Soldiers could actually see what the Atha'an Miere was doing, there wasn't much that could be lost in translation. Showing the First Seeker however would be a little more difficult, at least in explanation, but the Dedicated was determined to try his best. Jhanic Asha'man had set up the meeting and Taesh did not want to disappointment his friend.
Walking over to the mirror Taesh opened himself to saidin the deceptively sweet torrent of power that male channeler's wielded, and wrested it to his control. Looking into the mirror, he thought of the cabin of the Star Song the ship that had been home to him in his early years, before speaking out loud.
"I discovered this...Talent the night of the Seanchan attack Illyria Sedai. There was so much going on, a lot of rumors, and I just wanted to make sure that my family was ok. I thought to Travel to the ship, but I didn't know exactly where it was. And for me, Skimming is not something I can do long. I was holding on to saidin, frustrated and then it just happened. I began to weave, first just Spirit and Air in equal measure."
As he spoke, Taesh began to act upon the words, beginning the weave the would bring distant locations to the mirror's surface. "The weave is tight, like a rope with frayed ends. When you push it to the mirror it spreads all across it and then..." As the Atha'an Miere demonstrated the rope of Spirit and Air snaked out from his being and touched the surface of the mirror, and the two powers spread, like thin white and yellow vines to his eyes, to cover the surface of the mirror and almost sink into them. A gray fog began to roll across the mirror, no longer reflecting what was in the room. Barely Taesh, Ilyria Sedai and Jhanic Asha'man could make out the cabin of the Star Song, his mother's quarters and office.
"As you can see, there is an image, but it is not clear. That happened the first time as well. I couldn't tell if it were real or not, and I needed to know, was what I see the truth or some Illusion I was creating. And that is when the final Power joined the weave, Fire."
As before Taesh demonstrated as he spoke, and a bright read thread of Fire coursed through the rope and then circled around the border of the mirror. Once that was completed, the fog disappeared, and on the surface of the mirror was a clear picture of the Sailmistress's quarters. It was as if somehow all those in the classroom where somehow looking from a corner in the ceiling of the room, looking down to survey the room.

As Taesh and Illyria became acquainted with one another, Jhanic began to wonder how an Aes Sedai might construct this weave. It was a simple, if not yet completely understood technique, but if anyone could think of a way to make it with Saidar, it would be the First Seeker. As the Dedicated explained how he came upon the weave, and how to create it, the Master of Soldiers watched the Aes Sedai as well as Taesh. This weave could change many different things in the world, and the Indigo Ajah would certainly benefit from having learned and studied it. If it could pick up an image of a moving ship in the sea, and images of another moving people in the sands of the Three Fold Land, its benefits and uses only stopped with the channeler's creativity.
