Wandering Around

Ella wandered through the halls of the Tower. It was dark outside and nearly time for bed. She needed the rest a bed and sleep would bring. It had been a long day. Using the Power had tired her and the chores hadn't helped matters either. She would never change it for her old live, not for anything. Only now that she was free could she see how much of a slave she had been. Of course she had know she was a slave but it was only really clear when compared to freedom. And now that she was free she could began to plan her revenge, she had already had a taste of it when she had rammed he knife through Litha's heart before slitting the women's neck. It had felt so good to kill her, she had deserved it for what she had done to damane during her time as a sul'dam and to think she had been considered a kind sul'dam.
Ella laughed quietly to herself at that thought as she walked through the halls with her head bowed. Even now she still walked like that. She knew that she could look people in they eye here most of the time but it still seemed safer to keep her head bowed. That way you could never look at someone when you were not meant to or look at the wrong person, that was how people kept their heads on their shoulder or avoided punishment.
She quickly glanced up checking where in the Tower she was. A long way away from the Novice Quarters she was sure of that. The area she was in was plain and only sparsely decorated with paintings. She quickened her pace. She didn't want to be late back to her room and receive punishment from the Mistress of Novices While the beatings here didn't match the punishment a damane got they were still far from pleasant and she had no inclination to get one. Lost in her thoughts she continued through the Tower.
