The Warder Yards are a far cry from the luxury of the Trakand estates near Whitebridge that Fiona was born and raised in. She may have spent eighteen years learning how to be the perfect noblewoman, but in the last four years* she's outstripped the facile accomplishment of knowing which spoon to use for the soup course, and learnt how to become a soldier. And not just 'a soldier', but a woman fiercely loyal to her friends, who's willing to do (quite frankly) stupid harebrained things in order to help others.
The Warder Yards wishes to proudly announcement that Fiona Trakand has been raised to the rank of Ji'dar. And congratulations to Marla as well, for her wonderfully written survival test.
Oh, and don't call her 'Lady Trakand'. MoT's orders.
