Avyra
| Trying to find the heart to apologize to Ravak had been on Avyra's list of things to find. The longer she had been at the Tower, the longer the list had grown. She had to find quite a few things, it seemed. But she pushed those away. In time, maybe she would find them. Doubtful, but she was still hopeful. She had been reading up more on battleweaves, so much of her time had been spent in the library, and she noticed that Ravak had been in there frequently around to same time, too. She hadn't payed him any mind, but she figured he would be there again today, too. So she returned her reading, then set off to find him amongst the tall shelves. It was easy to get lost in the library, but she was pretty sure she could find him. Sure enough, the tall Gaidin was seated at his usual table, nose in a book. A story, it seemed. She paused, but Avyra knew he could tell she was watching him, so it was too late now to back away. But still, he ignored her presence as his eyes scanned the page. However, something made her frown. He no longer had the pin on his neck that marked his rank as the Master of Training. Odd. But she didn't want to bring that up. She didn't want to further rub salt in whatever wound he had. Like he had done a few months ago with her. She pushed that thought away. So she slid into the chair across from him, sitting on her knees, hands propping her chin up off the wood table. He still did not look at her. "I've never much gone in here," she began, unsure of how to begin. "But now that I've started reading more I quite enjoy it. It has a nice vibe. And the books smell good. Have you smelled a book, Ravak Gaidin? The old ones smell the best." She paused. Small talk was quite annoying with someone who hated your guts. Avyra cut the chatter. It was stupid, and wasted time. And was probably making him angry. "I'm sorry for what happened in the basement. And for what happened by the pond that one day. And for stealing your dogs. And for being so ungrateful when you caught me in my first few days here when I fell out of that tree." She paused. "And I don't think I've ever thanked you for that. Like, actually thanked you. Thank you, Ravak Gaidin." She sighed. "I'm sorry for being such a light blinded idiot. I never wanted anyone to hate me, but I supoose that didn't work too well." |
