Spring 2016 Awards are HERE!

Nominations are complete, discussions have been had, and the results are IN!
Some preliminary notes:
There will be a separate thread for the selection of the "Cutest Couple" Award, because that one was accidentally left off the nomination form. Whoops. Also, please note that we belatedly realized that the Keeper's Choice Ribbon actually depends on things happening that haven't happened in a while, so we left it out.
Finally: We did not have a lot of participation in the nomination process, which is kind of sad.
I am currently musing on how to rework awards to make them a) more immediately relevant, and b) less of a hassle for people to participate in. If you have thoughts, please feel free to shoot me a PM or email gt1- don't post here.

Mirin has done a fantastic job keeping her novices in line.
The Master's Hand Riahana Ferria Riahana has always shown a great willingness to train and evaluate any who need it.
The Flame, the Blade, and the Heart Aikaterine Torellion & Dakson Torellion Since they met Katrie and Dax have shared a common thread of interest, be it freedom from each other, freedom with each other, or enduring love.
Seal of Friendship Avyra Moeryr Avyra has always been willing to get to know and befriend anyone, from Master of Training to newest of novices.
The Trainer's Seal Valadin Manelle Sean's writing for the "Heart of Fire" thread was fantastically detailed and interesting.
Outstanding Medal for Healing Murdock Mather Murdock's Talent for Healing and his quiet bedside manner are apparent to all observers in the Grey Tower.
Shhhh....this is an IC award. No one tell them the truth!
Outstanding Medal for Literature Matty This is typically an in character award. However, this time it has been awarded to Matty in recognition of the fantastic work of art that is the Legend of Jarak. You win, sir.
The Gold Flame and Fang

This award is granted to Jenn and Marla for exemplary writing. The unlikely romance between Dax and Katrie is over 150,000 words long, spans seven months of OOC time, and encompasses not only many other characters, but also nearly seamlessly works raising requirements and other systems-based writing into the story.

This award is granted to the active admin team in April of 2016, in recognition for the superhuman effort they put forth in keeping the site running smoothly through an unexpected onslaught of new members, a shortage in staff, and a slew of real life catastrophes / stress on all their parts.

Jenny (and thus Mirin) have put a lot of effort and work into building the Black Ajah from the ashes, plotting with others, and recruiting newcomers to their cause. We are curious to see where it goes next!

For stepping up to lead the newest Ajah. While at one point the mission of the Ajah seemed to be in flux, under her leadership, the Red Ajah has found its rightful purpose and place in the Tower.
The Alviarin Ribbon for Deceit
Murdock Mather
For creativity in torture and complete evilness of his character. Murdock is a broken but sympathetic man, and we all look forward to the havoc he will wreck as a champion for the Shadow.
The Elayne Ribbon for Innovation
Elia Darrow
For the Creating Ter'angreal class written while she wasw Accepted, as well as the extremely interesting ter'angreal she has created and the work she has done to sort and catalog the Vaults of the Tower.
The Builder's Hammer
Marla, Steven, and Trent
Last winter the site went completely AWOL, and these three put forth a lot of personal effort and time to fix it as quickly as possible. They were absolutely priceless and the Tower may well have stayed broken without them.
The Depth of Character Medal

Taesh has only been here a short while but he has already distinguished himself as a extraordinarily interesting young man with solid interests, a fascinating Talent, a sunny demeanor, and thoughtful presence in classes. He is quiet and rarely calls attention to himself but has faced his challenges with maturity, completed his punishments without complaint, and been a wonderful and descriptive partner to write with.
Matty Murdock has bloomed into one of the most deep and complex (and hilarious) characters in the Grey Tower today. Furthermore, Matty is willing to put Murdock through the grinder in whatever which way his fellow scribes determine. I'm a bit saddened by the idea that Murdock may be Matty's only character, but if you're just going to have the one, there's few better than Murdock.

The Officer's Sanity Ribbon

Over the last six months these people have gone out of their way to keep (other) members of the admin team calm, grounded, and focused, reminded them to laugh, and/or to take a step back, and generally being awesome people.

Because of her dedication and unwavering commitment to the site and to its members despite being down multiple staff in her area. She gives no less than 100%, all the time. "Take a break, big dawg," does not seem to compute for her.
Blaze of Glory Ribbon
Bryn Riverstone
The death of Novice Bryn has proven pivotal to the continued development of Jerid and Sojin, and by extension, Lysira. The quick and brutal death of this character also has longer-term implications involving the Black Ajah that could impact the Tower as a whole.
Most Improved Writer's Order
Roan
In the last six months Roan's writing has become more descriptive, fluid, and adaptive. Her characters have each come alive with distinct personalities and distinct plots, and we can't wait to see what she has in store for them next!
The Mistress of Education's Commendation

Jenny's Persuasion class is really well thought out and organized. It is also thought provoking, challenging and requires critical thinking.
The Mistress of Education's Golden Apple

In the time she has been here, Leala has taught OPB 4 times as well as created two brand new classes, to the benefit of all.

The admin of the Tower has been in a state of constant change for a while now, but whenever there have been holes, they've jumped in to help out, while still remaining an active presence in admin, in the Hall, and in RP.

Becks' writing between the two troublemakers, Avyra and Muireen, was exciting and entertaining, and demonstrates creativity in plotting and mastery of the written word.

For helping drive the plot forward in the Displaced MRP and volunteering his character to break a leg.

For her actions in the Displaced MRP and her help in calmly guiding two lost girls. She kept them alive/safe in the cold despite her own worries and separation from her bondmate.
