The Grey Tower

Hey everyone! So, my new Drin just arrived at the Tower, and I would love some people to interact with him. His page isn't up yet, but his name is Cayden Mantear, a young nobleman from Andor. He's been physically abused by his father, which is why he isn't very trusting of people he's never met before. He may come across as distant at first, but he's fiercely loyal to those who manage to win his trust. When he feels comfortable, he's actually a fun guy who likes jokes and pranks. If this gives you any ideas, let me know! But what I was thinking:

- Someone for a sword evaluation. Cayden has been learning to fight with the sword since he was about eight, and it had been his outlet during his father's abuse. I'd like to go for two or three points.

- Some people who are actually nice to him. They will probably find Cayden a little strange, as he's so closed off, but it would be nice for him to meet some people who aren't, you know, monsters. If your character wants to bully him, that's fine as well

- And finally, someone for a more long term plot. I would like another learning rank, preferably a Soldier, Dedicated, Novice or Accepted, who wants to really bond with Cayden. Yeah, I know, plotting to be best friends may be a little weird, but it's really what Cayden needs. At first, Cayden would be reserved, but after a while, he would really start to open up, and as I said, he's a really sound guy when his walls are broken down. The reason I'm asking for a channeler is because I would like to keep the possibility open to let this lead to a bond. A romantic relation is a possibility, although in no way a requirement. Finally, I would like to repeat that I'd like this to be a long term plan, so, ya know, keep that in mind

So, are you interested in any of these three ideas? Or do you have an idea of your own? Than let's plot!

Elia can definitely be a friend for Cayden. She's charming and beautiful and affable, and not easily dissuaded. She's also got some Andoran in her, if that helps

As for a longer term plot, I and Elia would be interested, although I know there will be at least one other suitor for her heart. I don't know if that is suitably off-putting, if you are looking for something certain.

I am always happy to help with sword or archery evaluations.

I have Tia, a novice who could use friends beyond her roommate and her twin brother.

I think Torianin could be a good help, especially with him being abused in the past.

Hey, Teddy, if you need a pal, Oen's here for you. He's a channeler, but also needs to keep up his physical training. So maybe they could do some sparring/target practice/research together. Maybe we can all get a little group of friends going with all our younglings.

I can't promise it won't go terribly wrong, but I do have a Soldier who could function as a friend. Whether or not this works out well in the long run remains to be seen, but the offer is there.

As long as you don't mind a slow responder, I'll throw Kitty in. She's been newly clad in white herselv, and could use some friends. And her future is open

This'd be great! I definitely think Elia and Cayden would get along. And perhaps some kind of triangle plot would be interesting? Dunno, could be fun. One-way crushes can be entertaining as well.

I'd love this as well! Especially the sword evaluation, but who wouldn't be honored to meet the great-granddaughter of the Amyrlin :0 Besides, it could work, with both of them kind of being outsiders.

Yesh, I was thinking this one as well. Neither of them has had a great past, exactly. Could be interesting to have them open up to each other.

As for the others, again, I haven't forgotten about you! I just don't want to get lost in too many threads, but I'll send you all a message when I'm ready!

Ayden, my recently raised Dedicated definitely needs a good friend. He's a sarcastic, but patient, guy that just rolls with life, could help Cayden lighten up a bit. I'm also up for the idea of a bond and/or relationship, if that's what Cayden is looking for. But even just a bromance/friendship would be fun as well.
