Hello, Folks!

I feel like I should be frightened as I write my first post here... :noes

So! Most of you know some of this already because you're admin, but I said that I would be here to figure out the details of my new PSC-for-plotz-and-evilzbutnotreally... She is the Ji'dar Seira.

http://www.grey-tower.net/Wiki/index.ph ... eira_(PSC)

She used to be a PC but she's been turned into a PSC now. Basically, she was Tuatha'an. She learned she could channel and had to leave the Way, came to the Tower, burned out, became a Ji'dar, left when her family found her and offered her return if she gave up weapons, then lost her family and was found by some sort of wandering Black Ajah type who decided to use hocus-pocus to fix her but send her back to the Tower as a Warder with some sort of something to hide the channeling, letting her do some more secretive voodoo.

However she shook off the compulsions, but hid that fact and has been using her abilities and her knowledge of the Tower and the world to start preparing the Tower for the Last Battle, which includes bringing back Mia, the note that brought Durent back, what brought Kubotai back, as well as a hand in Jerid and Lysira's returns. (All of this with permission of their respective writers.)

As Jack put it: "So on top of that, she's credited with bringing a nuclear bomb back to life (Miahala), bringing in another heavy hitter in the form of Durent, and setting up the return of curt Warder? And on top of that kind of sabotaging a balefire-like ter'angrel on another highly-skilled Warder trained by the legendary Freak of the Yards, in the process pissing off a protective mother with the very unforeseen consequence of reuniting her with her hubby, an Indigo who has a body count higher than probably Genghis Khan?"

*grins unapologetically*

Now, of course some very good and pertinent points about how Seira has managed to do all this were brought up during the admin discussion on the character. (Because I would not bring her back in this way without permission.)

My thoughts have been that maybe the BA who did this was a bit more out-there and secretive than most, and perhaps has died without telling anyone else all of what they did. So they have assumed such and such when it was otherwise. Or that it was someone of BA but from the White Tower with a grudge against the Grey Tower who set her loose not just to do Shadow work but also try to screw up GT too.

I basically figure that any large organization, even the Black Ajah, isn't 100% the well-oiled machine (especially one that lives on secrecy!) so that there are cracks in information here and there, and Seira has managed to slip through them but lives in terror of the day that she is found out. (And I think for a big plot later on, she may be. For now, I want to do little plots with her.)

Like I think I'm going to make her Lysira's translator, to wedge her into those things and perhaps get her out of the tower more, etc.,

At this point, I'm just talking off the cuff. XD

I will be catching up on all the other threads in this forum in the near future. :)

Welcome, welcome! <3

I like the BA from White Tower idea more than a rogue BA. Just a spare thought hehe :P

It does have the benefit of spottier information and then even more Bad Things (TM). I wonder... What if no one in the Grey Tower's Black Ajah knows that she's (sort of) part of it...?

This would make a lot of sense!

So she's part of the Black Ajah of the White Tower, but contact there is hard/intermittent, and maybe they meet to reestablish compulsions but she's got the Strong Will benefit and it wears off faster than the WT BA thinks, giving Seira that "window" to do her good works...

Have we ever decided if the WT and the GT BA are affiliated?

I was working on a fanfic that would have had Fen contacted by the WT BA on his journey to the GT. However, Bridget suggested I omit that as it has not been established that the two BA are affiliated. My original thought was to provide a rationale for Fen to seek out the BA but I can just as easily have Graendal order it.

To my knowledge, it was never played out that they were affiliated. (It would be easier for me and Seira if they weren't, too.) Much like the WT and GT have not always had happy relations, I imagine the WT BA would look down on the GT BA just like the rest of them. XD
