Winter 2015 Awards!

One of my favorite things to do as the GM/admin of any game is to give out awards. Seriously, anyone who has ever written with me elsewhere knows that I just thrill about it. In fact, it was because of one of my games that awards were brought to the Tower. Yes, I'm patting myself on the back there, but I'm proud.
ANYWAYS! The award nominations went around in October and these are the results. I know that there have been things since I would have nominated for, but I'll catch that next time around and for now, gush at people privately. Otherwise, here--not really in any particular order and with nominating texts included--are this season's awards...

Alviarin Ribbon for Deceit
Jenny (Mirin Ronaile)
Jenny has been part of the Black Ajah for a short period of time, but has already contributed to many plots and ideas necessary for the growth of the Ajah. Her enthusiasm is boundless, and it is certain that Mirin is about to embark on an interesting journey.
Bree (Makenna Grenaldi) The Black Ajah has only just begun to rise in prominence, and Bree has been such a great help in that. She is wonderful in Ajah development and plot creation, and I can't wait to see where she goes in the Black Ajah.

Ferane Ribbon for Logic
Laela (Laela Gymorraine)
1. Leala has just started on the difficult task of building an Ajah up from nothing, and is doing a wonderful job of it. Her character is already providing instruction on logic, and I'm sure that Leala will do great things for the White.
2. I know that she's not yet fully raised, but upon her return to activity, she's pretty much the only White doing anything and she's already jumped on an active thread about for logic/deduction tutoring and has talked to me about making it a class. For a chronically underrepresented Ajah, I admire her efforts and want to reward that.

Depth of Character Medal
Sean (Valadin Manelle)
1. Sean's focus on Valadin has been excellent, as he has done a great deal to grow Valadin from several facets: personal growth, weapons skills, talents, and One Power skills. He has also jumped into several Warder Yard RP's without hesitation, and added to the plot in a way that builds even more depth to the character, and running a complex subplot between multiple characters and demonstrating excellent skills at running a plot, as well as growing Val.
2. Sean is very dedicated to his character's development, as I've learned through multiple conversations now! He plans both in the long term and the short term, considering many angles about the character as he was created, as he's writing now, and how he might possibly develop. As I'm all about the story, I think this is fantastic and should be recognized.
Jenny (Mirin Ronaile) In Jenny's case, this should almost be called "came in like a bat out of hell" award. She came in and was on top of things from day one. Writing with others and almost everyone, ideas for growth and development, and making Accepted pretty darn quickly. I love seeing this sort of enthusiasm and activity.
Quibby (Mehrin 'Deathwatch' Mahvon) This nomination doesn't quite fit Depth of Character because I don't know if he has long term plans, but it's the closest I have for an award that's otherwise for "kick-ass creative character." I haven't written a lot with him (yet) but what little I've seen from his biography and writing on the Border Patrol thread, he is highly creative and an exemplary writer with such an intricate character; writing with skill and balance. And I'd like to recognize these things.

Officer's Sanity Award
Becky
Becky has always been the person who has been there for me whenever I had an issue or a quick question about running GT. Since I started as Keeper, Becky has been so supportive and helpful. I might not still be here (and loving every minute of it) if it wasn't for her.
Roan I am nominating Roan for this award for, quite bluntly, helping to keep me sane, even though she knows it is generally a lost cause with me... She has listened to incoherent rambling on Grey Tower matters--both in GT2 and GT3!--and currently has helped me cover matters in the administration when other officers were unavailable, even being new to her officer's job. In general, she's...kinda invaluable to me in every RP group I'm in that I manage to talk her into joining me in...

Trainer's Seal
Bree
Bree has been an exceptional help in both helping me plan RP plots for my character, and in teaching me classes. She's patient and kind, and I think she deserves some sort of recognition for that.
Seal of Friendship
Astarte (Betrys Cadwallader)
1. Betrys is such a wonderful character, one who is always interacting in positive ways with other characters. I fully expect her to have a huge cohort of friends before she reaches the Shawl.
2. I wasn't sure what best to nominate her for, but I knew that her remarkable enthusiasm and energy needed to be recognized. She's quick on the mark, willing to write with just about everyone, and develop her character.

The Blue Heart
Bella
Most of the admin team know what Bella and her family have been through in the recent past. Despite the stress that landed on top of her, Bella managed to stay current in several RP's, including the Warder Yards RP being run by Bree.
Not only has she stayed active with these on-going threads, but the quality of her posts has remained exemplary and add depth to the RPs. I know how hard it can be to stay on top of things when RL seems to constantly throw lemons at you, but Bella caught every single one and made lemonade.
Note from Bella: Thank you for this one. I probably would've tried to leave it off if I didn't think people would notice...
