It wasn't like the group from the Tower didn't have its hands full already. A pack of Darkhounds, a Draghkar, innumerable Trollocs. The tidal wave of the Shadow would have been enough to crush nearly any other group of their limited number, but this wasn't just any group. This collection of adventurers was crafted from sturdy souls and honed in the lifeblood of the Grey Tower.
This was a place that had fended off numerous attacks from without, and within, and stood surviving to this day. It was a testament to the indomitable spirit of humanity and devotion to what was right.
And so this group, whatever its number, was not to be taken apart so easily. No surrender. No mercy. Like any wild animal backed into a corner, they roared outward with teeth and claws, jaws snapping. The One Power and the spears and the swords and the bows and the sheer stubborn will tore apart all that foolishly found themselves in their path.
Beaten, battered, bruised, and bloody, they fought. However...the Wheel is ever eager to find new challenges. It should have been impossible for the enemy to accomplish, but the poison was pressed in upon two channelers identified as the "most dangerous" among them. How they were identified and how this was achieved was a problem to be solved later. For now, it gave the group trouble.
Miahala and Zeen fought themselves as the strange poison worked its way into them, and when they could no longer, the rest of the group realized the twofold danger they found themselves in.
Of course, not all of the Greens' weaves ended up aiming for their comrades. Some took out the enemy as well. It was perhaps the unpredictability that proved the greatest challenge. Yet despite all this, they persevered. As they always did. The storms and the shaking of the earth swallowed the Darkhounds; the Draghkar was felled; and one battered Aiel saw to the final severing of the Fade.
With the death of the Mydraal, the taut cohesion of the Trollocs turned to chaos. Some fought and were slain; others ran.
The embattled group was forced to turn fully on their leaders as their leaders turned on them, seeing them through the haze as the only enemy left. Shields were thrown. Some were broken. Finally the simplest methods of all were able to be employed, given the slowly-lunatic pair were not at their best...
They were hit on the head, and both knocked unconscious.
Bodies tossed over the backs of their horses, including the Aiel Ji'val dug from the debris with a Fade head by his side, the group waded away from the carnage and returned to the outpost. Few words were spoken, although one reined loudly: betrayal. It had to be. The enemy had been so focused that it had to have known just who was coming and who was what sort of threat.
The answers would have to wait. They had to hurry back to the Grey Tower.
Somehow, they managed a gateway before fully venturing back to the outpost. How could they know who could be trusted there? They simply needed to get away from the battlefield first. Then they made their haggard way into the Traveling Yard, and then were all rushed off to the infirmary.
The Yellows set to work to Heal wounds and clear the poison, which proved a difficult task although provided future fascinations for the Yellows...once the patients were saved.
Now, they would rest and recover...and then some would return to investigate what had befallen them, for such a betrayal could not be forgotten. And it would not be. And channelers have long, long lives to remember such things. Miahala Sedai certainly knew she would not let this pass without discovering the truth.
It was only a matter of time. And she had time.

OOC: Thank you to everyone who participated! I wanted to at least give it an official wrap-up, and y'all can write the after-effects in whatever way you like. I will probably revisit this with Mia in the future and if you'd like in on that, just let me know. <3 Lurve y'all!
