Taking the practice sword back, he sheathed it slowly and lifted an amused brow at the woman. “Ember, then.” He told her, though it was clear he had understood her joke, and even appreciated it to as much of a point as he could. His gaze went to her sias, and he studied them for a moment. “Those are...very useful against a sword..” he told her, still seeming a bit raw about the defeat. “I hope you will allow me to practice against you, again.”

She could not help the smirk on her face as he called her Ember, like she expected him to call her anything else. She rested her hands on her Sais as she stood before him, and looked down to her sheaths as he looked to them, and then smiled a little more. “They are indeed, one of the reasons I like them.” And they fit me like they belong, though she did not add that bit in. People thought her crazy or boastful when she did, she was neither, she was simply telling the truth. When he asked to practise against her again, she grinned and nodded her head. “I would like that, if it is allowed.” She looked around, and heard the bell ringing the start of lunch, and made a face. She had not meant to be here that long. “I had better be going.” She nodded to Caddoc, he was above her even if she had him kissing dirt, “See you around, Caddoc.” She tossed him back a wink and rushed off to where she had stashed her Novice whites.

Caddoc, of course, hears the bells as well. Lifting his head a bit, he feels Jeremiah grow closer and turns his head to look at his warder as the other man approaches. Turning back to Ember, he makes no attempt to introduce the new arrival. “Then we shall meet again, Ember Drin’far’ji.” he says, bowing shoulders and neck a little before watching quietly as she rushes away from him, supposedly to her lunch and classes of the afternoon.
