Zarayne
Zarayne nodded curtly. She was forgiven, thus so she was. Her hands moved away from her sides as she began signing again, although with more thought than before.

'I do not actually know many Aiel myself. I was not raised in the Three-fold Land, so there was only myself and my mother. Maybe the signs I use are not Aiel either.' She shrugged, feigning a lack of interest.

That lack of interest was lost in her next set of words. 'The Aiel here think I am strange. Different. They cannot understand why I choose to dance, nor do they appreciate my choice in weapon. I think I do not know ji'e'toh.' That did bother her, as evidenced by the pointedness in her gestures.

She held herself back from saying more, truly wondering why she even gave away this much. Maybe just because she had this opportunity to unburden herself with someone who was listening? The novice did not have anyone she could actually call a friend within the Tower.

'So, the Mistress of Novices?' she asked hopefully. Assuming she hadn't wrecked the acceptance of her offer from before.

Although it was not in her to understand what it was like to be Aiel but not Aiel, Lysira did understand what it was like to be different. What it was like to be on the outside looking in, and to be uncertain of one's place. It had taken the small, dark-eyed woman a while to find it--to overcome being Mouse and become Lysira--but she had done it.

She was sure Zarayne would as well, and she felt compelled to help her.

'To the Mistress of Novices, then, Lysira agreed with a faint smile, nodding on toward the hallway. This had certainly turned out to be a far more interesting day than she had expected.
