Shoar listened as Ubriel spoke and nodded his head. "I think I recognised maybe a handful of forms back there, Ubriel Bryne Gaidar. I don't think even my Da would be able to fight like them." They continued walking to another building, this one Ubriel called the Armoury. “This is the armory. If and when you decide that you need any armor of any sort, this will be the place that you go to have it designed and fitted. The real forges for making armor on the Tower grounds are elsewhere but you won’t need to go there if you don’t want to.” she said as she pushed the door open. He cast his eyes around the room, wide-eyed again. Armour of all shapes and sizes with a number of workers tending to them.
He stepped forward and looked at everything. Full plate looked interesting, but heavy. "Maybe I could use it for training...?" he chewed his lip in thought. "I would say... the Chain Mail and Leather Armour looks the most suitable. That's what the soldiers in Fal Dara I saw were wearing. I might also like to use the plate for training...? My Da used to make me do some chores with sandbags ties to my legs, to make it easier to move stubborn animals." Ubriel grinned and nodded “You won’t really need to decide right away. Even the most dangerous training will only require you to wear a padded suit while participating.” Shoar nodded eagerly as they walked out of the building.
They arrived at the Dormitory next, Ubriel explaining the rules and responsibilities Shoar was now bound to. They arrived at his room and he looked around at the place he would be staying at for the foreseeable future. He gratefully accepted the key from her. "I would just like to say... Thank you very much for taking a chance on me, Ubriel Bryne Gaidar. I realise I might not have had as much training or as much experience as some of the others who come through these doors, but I promise I will do my best to make everyone proud." He smiled brightly, bowing his head as Ubriel left. He quickly stripped down, stretching as he took his raggedy clothes off. "It feels good to be shed of them..." he sighed, getting dressed in the clothes left for him. "Perfect fit..." he murmured to himself. He neatly stacked his old clothes and put them in his sack, removing the few things he had brought with him. A figurine his Ma had made - it was in the shape of a pig, one of his favourite animals. A flute his Da had whittled for him. He played a short tune on it to make sure it hadn't been warped by the trip. He places his dirty clothes into the sack and put the sack in one corner, intending to deal with them later.
He opened his door and exited, locking the door behind him. He walked out of the dormitory and for the first time since arriving, took a deep, deep breath, experiencing all of the sounds and smells the Yards had to offer. He was finally, after his long long journey, home. "I love you Ma and Da... But I'm home." he whispered to himself. He turned and walked to one edge of the Yards and began to run. He had a lot of training to get through, so for now, he would train his body.
