Re: And I said, I will not wear white!

Taylin followed her new friend around the Tower, mentally noting where everything was. A few times when they'd pass something useful, like a pair of gloves a servant left for a moment to go tend to an Asha'man. She tucked those into the clothes basket. An apron from the kitchens, made of leather, not cloth that would stain and bleed to clothes beneath.
All through the tour Taylin's eyes found servants door, back stairways, main halls, entries, she was mapping the place, casing it should she have need to one day seek to hide here, should battles come knocking, or in such cases shenanigans were afoot. Her keen attention helped her to think of things like a hair cover from the maid's closet of uniforms. She couldn't be seen with blonde hair. Everything was coming together, her plan was evolving, becoming better, more thought out. This would work. She may not be able to defy the Tower by wearing black herself, but some novices would be forced to, and in that, was more a victory, than doing it and simply being punished and forgotten, the mystery would last longer than the memory of the act alone.
When they reached the classrooms Taylin carried the basket around marveling at the rooms and architecture with appreciation, she still had a mission. The ink jars were easy and fast work, stoppers in tight, bottle sat top up in the bottom of the laundry. She went to the window with her friend for a moment smiling.
"I miss riding horses....being in the countryside. We should plan an off day for such things. I would say I have what I need now,but instead let it be stated all I am speaking or doing is asking if you'd like to dine together tonight. I have business in the Training yard, once I run a private errand. Shall I count on seeing you there then? I just wanted to make sure you could find me, or account for me, should you need me for any reason."
Taylin would make her face very public in the training yard, and in the kitchens. Her private errand would be time in the aerie with her companion eagle. He needed to be exercised anyway, and the training yard allowed a nice view of open sky, besides she'd been meaning on speaking to someone about unarmed combat anyway. With any luck, her little stop by the laundry wouldn't take long and she'd be on her way, with none the wiser. One thing about luck? In a pinch, Taylin always seemed to have it.
She made her way back to the laundry room, collecting more novice dresses along the way. She decided taking the drying dresses to risky, so in the chos of the laundry room, she emptied a few dresses into an almost full batch. She already had her air up, and gloves on. A girl passed by and gave her a funny look.
"My room mate and I just had our nails done." Taylin's smile loathsome. The girl just humphed and walked away.
Quickly Taylin uncapped bottle after bottle of black ink into the wash, pausing when she had to. Finally she dropped the last bit of dresses in and walked away. The jars were placed into the rubbish wagon in a sack of old potatoes, to be carted away from the Tower in just a few hours. Her hair cover and gloves along with it.
