I would be tickled to write a survival guide kind of class as soon as you guys tell me I am qualified. That would be super fun.
Carra, Ways to Avoid Dying Horribly could be pretty hilarious. :p

Where are you at in your RRs, Bree? You could probably start writing it now so that it's ready when you get raised. Just a thought. ;)

I have at least two and a half weeks of time left. There are several RR points I need others to help with. I can get the class writing started now though if no one objects. Does teaching a class give you the credit for learning the material? :p

Apparently there is a Wilderness Survival and Tracking Class by Ashram somewhere in the old archives? I found it referenced in the 'information for trainees' in the Warder Yards.

For the record there is no minimum time frame to be raised right now. We *desperately* need to update that page. >_< In fact...I'm going to do that now.
I would check with Dan and Marit. I know you can get points in a Talent or Skill by teaching a class, but I don't know if they're okay with you getting your *first* point that way.

Technically you can't teach a class on something you don't know yet.
But, you can earn the benefit needed from your raising test, which will leave you open to teach a class on it once you're raised.
That reminds me, need to add that info to the RR page...

Yay benefits from raisings! :D
Um, I had something important to write and then I got distracted by a toothy grin. *don't mind me*

There are several references to using the archived classes as correspondence courses. If hypothetically one was to complete one of the courses as a correspondence course, would that allow them to teach that class? >.> How do you get a benefit in a raising for something that you haven't done course work or practical experience in?

Re: What classes would you like to see taught?
Yes! Yes you can do that! I'm actually in the midst of writing up a page on how it works. :D It's called a classfic. Basically you go through the archived class, respond to each section just like you would if it were an active class, then compile it into a single document and submit it just like you would any other fanfic.
The appropriate MoNster will grade, the Keeper will archive, and you're set. ^_^
If you don't want to do it alone, you can find another student interested in taking the class, and RP responding to each section as a pair. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but it's an option. ^_^
