Kinetic Therapy

Felix
Felix spun, his right foot on the floor pivoting. The blade Shadar Vron was outstretched in both of his hands, unsheathed in its honorable glory. The form The Heron Wading in the Rushes was a practice form but was perfect for learning balance with a blade.

He observed the room around himself as he spun. The room was small with two tall windows against the far wall from the door. Two walls stood on either side of the windows, wood unlike the stone of the window wall. One wooden doorway sat in the last wooden wall to make up the square room.

His balance faltered and he fell towards the floor, he caught himself at the last second with both hands planted on the wooden floor. Anger flared in his mind.

The only reason he was in the room was too meet the bloody Master of Soldiers about an incident he had been reported over. Bloody light blinded fool of an Accepted Jade had told on him for pushing her with a little flow of Air. She had been screaming at him after he had fought for his life and others but he was in the wrong for a lack of control. She had gotten in his face when he was on edge, Jade was lucky that he had control or she would have been hurt much worse.

His face turned dark as he thought on the incident that had landed him in a meeting with Jhanic. He liked Jhanic but disliked having to explain himself. The choice of meeting place was odd but neither man enjoyed sitting and just talking.

Felix stood and grabbed his sword from the ground, upon close inspection he saw that it had no marks or dents. He took his stance again and kept pivoting, balance was too important in battle not to practice.

Jhanic loped across the Grey Tower's yards towards his destination. He had asked a certain Dedicated to meet him in a secluded room, large enough and empty enough to move around in. He had ben given a report from an Accepted after he had been promoted to the Master of Soldiers. It was a report that unsettled him a bit, but one that he knew that he had to address. The Accepted, a woman named Jade, hadn't told him everything. She had told him that one of his Dedicated, a man that he knew from when he was a Dedicated, had seemingly intentionally tried to harm someone. Jade had seemed a bit nervous about reporting it. The Dedicated in question was a man that Jhanic had gone with into the city of Hama Valon to rescue innocents. Something in the actions and movements of another Dedicated had told him to be careful at the time.

Now was no longer the time to be careful. Now was the time to take action and find a solution and balance for a man predisposed to being a warrior. Jhanic had learned long ago that there was far more to being a warrior than violence. This was a lesson he would need to teach Felix Kal'Sarak. He had chosen one of the practice rooms made available in the Warder's Yard to speak with Felix. The Dedicated seemed to like the physical parts of being a warrior. Jhanic knew that he had taken classes on battleweaves, and he had seemed eager to go to battle during the attack. He would need to meet him on a level field.

Walking into the room, Jhanic found the Dedicated with his sword already out and his anger visible. The Aielman didn't greet the other man. He didn't chastise him, or demand that he explain himself. The floors here were too well-kept. His soft boots of his cadin'sor moved over them too easily, but he would manage. As Felix had take out his sword, Jhanic took out his spear. "I suggest you find a shield," he said, his voice steady, revealing nothing as he readied his own small shield. He had gone to battle alongside this man. He would help him, but he would not coddle him.
